Laboratory Technician – Geochemistry (XRF/XRD Analysis) – Onshore, KSA

Field Operations & Office Role - Saudi Arabia - Full Time

Geolog International, a global leader in surface logging and formation evaluation services, is hiring Laboratory Technicians for onshore XRF/XRD mineralogical and geochemical analysis in Saudi Arabia.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyse rock/cuttings samples using XRF (X-Ray Fluorescence) and XRD (X-Ray Diffraction) instruments
  • Interpret elemental and mineralogical composition data for formation evaluation reporting
  • Maintain lab equipment calibration, QA/QC protocols, and sample chain-of-custody
  • Compile and report analytical results to project geologists/clients
  • Maintain a safe, organised onshore lab environment per HSE standards
Candidate Profile:
  • B.Sc/M.Sc in Geochemistry, Geology, Applied Geology, or Chemistry with strong mineralogy component
  • Hands-on experience with XRF and/or XRD instrumentation strongly preferred (training provided for strong academic candidates without direct experience)
  • Mud Logging background also considered, given transferable wellsite/sample-handling experience
  • Prior lab-based (non-rig-site) oilfield services or geoscience lab experience is a plus
  • Willing to work in Saudi Arabia on a rotational lab-based assignment.
  • Valid passport; medical fitness for standard employment
  • Good written/spoken English for technical reporting
