The Company seeks to add Data Engineers with different levels of experience for Kuwait operations.
POSITION
The Data Engineer is responsible for analysing all the data during the drilling operation and preparing all final logs and reports for the onsite well site Geologist and the company man.
The Data Engineer must have strong communicative skills, as they liaise directly with client representative on-site, the tool pusher and the Well Site Geologist.
As team leaders Data Engineers are responsible for the wellbeing and cohesion of the surface logging team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Installation and maintenance of GEOLOG software and hardware for acquiring and measuring drilling parameters.
Real-time monitoring of rig activity supporting data analysis and interpretation.
First point of contact for the client onsite technical support.
Generating dedicated technical reports and logs.
Formation sample collection and description for chemical and geo-mechanical analysis.
To manage and train all employees in the team, such as Mud Loggers and/or Sample Catchers.
REQUIREMENTS
Post graduate degree in geology.
Minimum 5 years- experience in Mud Logging on drilling rigs, out of which at least 2 years on high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) wells.
Good understanding of rig operations with ability to interpret anomalies real time and ability to communicate effectively with client / rig supervisors. Ability to generate relevant reports and submit to client as required.
Good understanding of complexities while drilling HPHT wells.
Proven, extensive knowledge of rig safety regulations and safety issues.
Analytical and methodical approach to work.
Ability to communicate effectively in English essential.
Ability to pass a work related Physical and drug screening.
